"I needed a secluded time away, where I could read my book with a cup of tea, take in the nature and simply relax! What I found was not just quirky, tranquil or breath-taking. It was a piece of someone’s dream, someone’s passion and someone’s home. I could not have asked for a better set up! The land is stunning, the welcome warm and honest. Rosie was a delight and the log burner was so quick to warm up! The treehouse was like magic for my imagination and I thought the compost loo was supber! I then saw the communal loos and I couldn’t stop smiling!

The walks through the gardens and river took me back to a child and I actually wanted to start looking for elves and pixies on the woods! ;) I didn’t take my camera but I am coming back with my camera and soaking it up next time!

I can not recommend this place enough! The setup, the hosts, the facilities, the everything! Even if you are not a camper – this is an experience not to be missed! Go on – I dear  you to try something different than a standard B&B and soak up the nature!" O.E  

“We only stayed for a single night but we wish it could have been more! This is such a wonderful little wagon in a very beautiful part of the world and was warm and cosy even though the weather was on the wet and windy side.

The facilities were some of the best I have ever used on a camp site with nice hot showers and flushing toilets (also some compost which were just as nice too). The staff could not have been friendlier and made every effort to make us feel welcome. I could not recommend this place enough! C.K

Excellent campsite and much much more. Whether you are in a tent or a caravan the people there are very helpful and friendly . Woods rivers are all there for you to walk and explore, finding along the way little secret areas which the kids love. The stone circle was a great surprise , as the evening came in a fire was lit inside and all are welcomed to sit around and chat etc. Highly recommended to any who love the outdoors.

A great site for relaxing & enjoying the peace & tranquillity. Also a great place for kids to get back to running around free instead of tied to electronics. Some lovely little walks around the site with lots of hidden gems. We loved the very friendly little pigs. Very good shower & toilet facilities & also somewhere to sit & chill in the cabin if you need a bit of home comfort for a moment or two. Also a great spot for skywatching, nice dark skies. 

Pretty, Peaceful, Practical - Perfect!

I've just returned from a little stay at Hideaway and absolutely loved it. (I'm a bit reluctant to write a review as I'd quite like to keep it a secret, but that doesn't seem fair to the lovely people who own/run this site!)

They've started with a very beautiful piece of English countryside and made into an ideal campsite without ruining it.

There's all the practical stuff there, the essentials, but they've made all of those facilities just a little bit nicer than they actually have to be. They've added aesthetics and whimsy. They've added comfort and a touch of luxury (sitting on the comfy sofa while waiting for a mate to finish her shower was a real treat!)

I'm definitely going back.......

Cut off from the rest of the world, it's a very pleasant place to unwind and be stress free. Watching the sunrise across the frozen garden from our cosy bed in the Gipsy caravan...a great way to start the day ! Thanks to everyone at the Hideaway camping for being so friendly and helpful.

We will definitively be back to try other lodgings.
